As Head of Accounting, you’ll take ownership of the quality assurance for accounting across 37 countries. This is a broad, operational role with significant responsibility, where you’ll ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial processes worldwide. You’ll be at the heart of the action, working in a vibrant, multicultural environment, and contributing to the efficiency and growth of the organization. Located at our headquarters in the WTC, you will report directly to the CFO, collaborating closely with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement in our financial function. Main tasks and deliverables as Head of Accounting:

This role calls for a hands-on, proactive leader with a strong sense of humility and a genuine passion for supporting the team when needed. You’ll need to roll up your sleeves and jump in operationally – but you’ll also be encouraged to ”lift your gaze” and take a forward-thinking approach to drive continuous development.

As Head of Accounting, you will have the exciting opportunity to shape the future of our finance function—streamlining and automating processes, optimizing routines, and creating a finance structure that not only supports but actively drives the success of the business.

  • Responsible for the daily operational management of the accounting function at Business Sweden.
  • Work on strengthening the structure and organization within the finance and accounting functions.
  • Identify areas for development and implement changes, as well as drive change processes within the finance function and system environment.
  • Personnel management for part of team, currently 9 accountants, operationally lead and allocate tasks within the accounting team, create development plans for and supervise employees, set salaries, and be responsible for the work environment.

Qualifications and experience:

We’re looking for an experienced and driven professional with a degree in Business Administration (or equivalent) and several years of hands-on experience in advanced accounting. Ideally, you have worked as an Accounting Manager, with exposure to international operations.
You are highly skilled in reporting according to K3 or IFRS, and we would value any experience you have with project accounting or working in the consulting industry. Strong IT proficiency is essential, and you’re someone who thrives in adapting quickly to new systems and tools. Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken, is a must, as you’ll be working in a dynamic, global environment where clear communication is key.
