Are you ready to take the next step in your credit career with a company that’s driving the shift toward a more sustainable transport system?
As a Business Credit Analyst – Scania Financial Services, part of the TRATON Group, you’ll play a key role in enabling responsible growth by assessing credit proposals from our international business units and ensuring the strength of our global portfolio.

With your background—ideally from a captive finance environment—you understand how to strike the right balance between nurturing customer relationships and applying sound risk judgment. In this position, you’ll not only evaluate and recommend credit decisions, but also contribute to the continuous improvement of our underwriting policies and processes.

You’ll be part of a collaborative, truly international team and can influence outcomes that matter. The role is based at our head office in Södertälje, with a flexible hybrid work setup. You will be part of Central Credit Risk and Asset Management department and reports directly to the Credit Risk Manager at Scania Financial Services.

Main tasks and responsibilities as Business Credit Analyst

  • Analyze Credit Proposals: Evaluate incoming credit proposals from our business units and recommend them for decision to the SFS Credit Committee.
  • Develop Policies & Procedures: Participate in the development of working methods and policies within the credit underwriting area, both centrally and locally.
  • Collaborate Internationally: Work closely with international business units, providing high exposure to senior professionals within the organization.
  • Manage Credit Risk: Ensure thorough assessment and management of credit risk, maintaining high standards of integrity and accuracy with the analytical focus on portfolio performance.

Qualifications and experience

You bring several years of experience in credit underwriting or credit risk management, preferably from a captive finance company within the automotive, equipment, or related industries. This background has given you a solid understanding of product-specific financing and customer-focused credit processes. You also hold a relevant academic degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field, which forms a strong foundation for your analytical and strategic capabilities.

In addition to your sector expertise, you have a truly international background, with hands-on experience working across multiple countries or markets. You are familiar with the operational and cultural differences that come with navigating diverse regulatory frameworks and economic environments—not just through collaboration, but through direct, practical exposure.

You are both analytical and commercially oriented, with the ability to combine data-driven credit assessment with business insight. You feel at ease working with different business models and customer profiles and can balance financial risk with strategic opportunity.

Personal characteristics

You are a strong communicator who can clearly articulate credit decisions and risk assessments to senior stakeholders, adjusting your message to suit different audiences, cultures, and business contexts. You act with high personal integrity and are confident in your ability to support your recommendations with well-structured and transparent arguments. Collaborative by nature and intellectually curious, you thrive in diverse, international teams and take a proactive approach to staying informed about local market dynamics and emerging risks.

Work location: Södertälje, Stockholm or somewhere in Europe
