Fagerhult Group is now recruiting a highly committed and ambitious Sustainability Controller, based in Stockholm. The role of the Sustainability Controller is a central part of the Group’s crucial competence area of sustainability. The essence of the role is to work alongside the Head of Sustainability and other forums and organizations to drive sustainability issues across the Group companies. This involves ensuring strategic, focused, and long-term work on sustainability topics with expertise, enthusiasm, energy and drive. It’s a role where personal commitment to sustainability issues is essential for success!

Your main areas of responsibility as Sustainability Controller
More specifically, as a Sustainability Controller, you will coordinate the process and be a part of developing the Group’s Sustainability Report, which is integrated in the Annual Report. The work includes handling environmental and social data, the EU Taxonomy and developing the structure and presentation of sustainability information in the report. You will be involved in the carbon emission baseline updates, monitor and implement laws and regulations, manage the Fagerhult Group’s sustainability platform (Worldfavor), participate in sustainability forums, engage in and drive various projects within the Group’s sustainability agenda, and educate employees in various functions and companies on sustainability-related matters. The role has a strong international focus and involves many different contact points, both internally and externally.

As a Sustainability Controller at Fagerhult Group, you will work in a company where sustainability is a high priority. Important sustainability topics are a clear part of the business strategy, placing them at the forefront throughout the Group. In this role you will work closely with Head of Sustainability who you also report to.

Qualifications and experience
A recognized university degree in business/engineering or similar in a relevant field. If you have specialized in sustainability during your education, it’s a clear advantage. You have gained several years of experience in sustainability work in companies where some form of manufacturing process is at the core of operations. You are well-versed in sustainability reporting, have worked with or are familiar with climate calculations and the GHG protocol. You have knowledge of the EU Taxonomy and are familiar with the most common sustainability concepts. If you have experience working with Worldfavor, that is a plus, as well as experience in accounting/financial controlling and project management. You can express yourself fluently in English, and preferably also in Swedish.

You are a communicative and inspiring individual, which, combined with good pedagogical skills, makes it easy for you to enthuse and gain support from others. You are positive, curious and skilled in spotting opportunities and solutions. You collaborate well with people in your environment while also possessing a strong sense of self-leadership and a clear initiative. Taking responsibility, ensuring quality, and completing tasks comes natural to you. Since the role has a strong focus on data collection and analysis, you are a numbers-driven and analytical person.
