Business Area Accounting manager

Are you already an Accounting Manager with experience from group accounting in a larger corporation? Or maybe a skilled auditor or controller with good knowledge in more complex accounting wanting to take the opportunity to be a leader in this exciting and truly global company? On behalf of Business Area Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (BA SMR), we are now recruiting a Business Area Accounting Manager who wants to take the lead in managing the closing process together with your team of two people. You will work with division controllers and stakeholders around the world and interact on a group level. You will be part of a global team of totally ten persons and you will report to the Director of Financial Control. BA SMR headquarter is located in the premises of World Trade Center in the center of Stockholm.

Your main areas of responsibility as Accounting Manager

• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual closing with more than 200 reporting entities worldwide
• Global process owner of Financial reporting
• Work extensively with IFRS principles and maintain and update BA SMR financial policies on intranet concerning IFRS and Sandvik principles and procedures
• Internal stock and inventory profit elimination
• Participate in integration of acquisitions, divestitures and mergers
• Participate in various projects undertaken by the business area
• Support and advise different stakeholders on qualified accounting and reporting matters
• Development and goal setting of two team members

Qualifications and experience
You have a recognized university degree or similar in a relevant field and have at least 5-6 years of relevant work experience. You might have previous experience from auditing, controlling or as an accounting manager. You are knowledgeable in IFRS and have a good understanding of group accounting either from a larger company or from an organization with a certain complexity.  It is advantageous if you have experience in mergers and acquisitions. To be successful, you need to have worked with or be familiar with one of the major consolidation systems and a larger business system. Good knowledge of Excel as well as strong skills in PowerBI is needed for this role. Very good command of English in speech and writing is a requirement, Swedish is advantageous.
