On behalf of Fagerhult Group, we are now recruiting a Business Controller, based in Stockholm. The Group Business Controller role is a new role at Fagerhult Group. Currently the Group has a well-established Group Financial Controller set up with three employees. The decentralized nature of the Group drives a need for financial analysis and examination outside of the regular reporting requirements and will be very important in the continued growth. Currently any Business Controlling work is done by the CFO.
As the Group Business Controller, you will play a central and critical role in increasing commercial awareness to improve decision making and performance development. You will work closely with your wide stakeholder group and support them with analysis and key findings to help them run their business better. You will also help drive improvement projects (forecasting, budgeting, strategy, sustainability, digitalization) as well as support the GMT and Business Area Teams. The role is global, and you will work in close cooperation with several offices and global operations where the Group has operations from Melbourne to Montreal.
Main tasks and areas of responsibility as Group Business Controller:
• Controlling Business Partner to Group Management
• Controlling Business Partner to other stakeholders
• Investigation, analysis, and provoking decisions in all areas of the P&L account and balance sheet together with KPIs and performance reporting
• Longer term forecasts regarding revenues across Business Areas, company brands and application areas
• Budgeting, forecasting and other planning activities
• Development of new performance management models and KPIs using digital solutions, Power BI etc
• Involvement in and responsible for Group projects
Qualifications and experience:
A recognized university degree or similar in a relevant field. At least 5-8 years of relevant experience in a senior Business Controller position with a wide business understanding and significant people skills. High IT/system knowledge, especially performance management and MS Power BI or equivalent.
Personal characteristics:
This role is a Group role with many contact points across the wider business so it is important that the dealing with different internal stakeholders in a good collaborative way according to the Group Values. Independence, accuracy, and analytical ability are important qualities to achieve success and you can see the big picture but also get the details right. You thrive in a dynamic environment with a short path from decision to action.
Being a senior role, it is extremely important that the Group Business Controller is a role model and represents the Group well.
