We are now looking to strengthen our corporate sustainability team with a Sustainability Controller who have genuine interest in sustainability and strong drive to improve. The job

As a Sustainability Controller at Feralco you will assume an important role in the group’s sustainability efforts to develop, drive, and implement reporting of sustainability data according to the EU’s directive on corporate sustainability reporting (CSRD) and the EU-taxonomy. Being part of the corporate team, you will work on sustainability reporting and contribute to the company’s effort to benefit from the sustainability efforts. This requires knowledge of sustainability frameworks and being able to drive the collection and management of sustainability data in the group.

Your main task will be to coordinate sustainability performance data, including gathering, analysis and reporting on all sustainability aspects (ESG) of Feralco’s operations and value chain. This goes beyond meeting legislation; it is also to ensure that Feralco’s stakeholders continuously have access to credible sustainability performance data and to support development of the company. In addition to this key role in the sustainability reporting, you will importantly work to support the businesses with data, analyses and not the least to assist in developing our business. The first focus will be on the CSRD/ESRS and EU-taxonomy reporting, but as you grow into your role, you will be more involved in all kinds of projects related to the sustainability work (e.g. CSDDD and internal improvements). Functionally it can be described as that you will develop into the role of internal centre of sustainability.

The position is at Feralco’s head office in Helsingborg, and you will report to and be supported by our Circularity manager.

Your profile

In order to thrive in this position, we believe you have:

  • A degree in accounting & finance, environmental sciences, engineering or equivalent education.
  • Experience of reporting according to relevant standards and regulatory frameworks would be meriting.
  • An understanding for financial and/or integrated annual and quarterly reporting. (You don’t need to have hands on experience from financial reporting, just an understanding how it correlates to sustainability reporting).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly in MS Excel. It is a merit if you have experience of MS Power BI or other visualization tools.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English. At the office Swedish is spoken.

The role requires knowledge in the fields of sustainability and finance. As a person you have excellent interpersonal skills and are oriented towards continuous improvement.  You are both analytical and structured but must enjoy development and change yet maintaining quality. The perspective is both short and long term as well as looking at the “big picture and tiny details”, why balancing, discussions and problem-solving are part of life. You enjoy working in teams and can assume different roles depending on situation.
